Welcome to Rollbook
The simplest way to track your BJJ training: log sessions in seconds, keep a technique journal, and watch your progress add up.

Your BJJ Journey, Tracked
Welcome to Rollbook, the simplest way to track your BJJ training. It's built specifically for Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu practitioners, from your first class to black belt.
Whether you're a white belt just starting out or a seasoned black belt refining your game, Rollbook helps you:
- Log every session in a few taps — type, gi or no-gi, duration, plus optional techniques, intensity, partner level and a short note
- Track your techniques in your own technique journal, with notes and video links, and browse 196 curated technique videos in Discover
- Visualize your progress with a training heatmap, a 12-month history and your belt timeline
- Build training streaks to stay motivated and consistent — with grace days, so one missed day doesn't reset you
Pro Tip: Start logging from day one. Even if your first entries are just "went to class, survived" — that data becomes invaluable months later when you can look back and see how far you've come. The practitioners who track consistently are the ones who progress fastest.
What's New Since Launch
Rollbook has grown a lot since this post first went up. In plain words, here is what's been added:
- Systems — map your game plan as a tree: positions, moves, and what to do when your opponent reacts
- Gym Passport — every gym you've trained at, on a world map. It works offline and needs no location permission
- Monday Recap — every Monday morning, your week on the mats in numbers
- Time to Revisit — a nudge when a technique you've logged hasn't been drilled in a while
- Monthly challenges and badges — up to three personal goals each month, built from your own training, and new badges, 36 in all
- Health sync on both platforms — Health Connect on Android joined Apple Health on iOS, so your sessions can show up as workouts in your phone's health app
- Your Data — free backup and restore, and a CSV export of everything you've logged
- A new look — version 2.4 added a floating navigation bar with the Log button always in reach, and a friendlier setup
Logging, history and stats stay free. An optional Supporter tier (EUR 1.99 a month, EUR 14.99 a year or EUR 49.99 once) unlocks extras like unlimited techniques and Systems.

Why We Built Rollbook
As BJJ practitioners ourselves, we know the frustration of trying to remember what we worked on last week, or wondering if we're actually improving. Notebooks get lost, memories fade, and progress feels invisible.
Rollbook changes that. Every session you log becomes part of your permanent BJJ record, helping you identify patterns, track your favorite techniques, and celebrate your growth over time.
Did You Know: Memory research going back to Hermann Ebbinghaus and his "forgetting curve" shows that we lose much of what we learn within a day or two unless we revisit it. A quick post-training log locks in your learning and creates a reference you can come back to anytime.
Drill: After your next class, take 60 seconds to log your session in Rollbook. Note the session type, gi or no-gi, how long you trained, and one technique or concept you worked on. That's it — just 60 seconds. Build the habit first, then add detail over time.
