BJJ in Dronfield

Dronfield (S18, Derbyshire — just south of Sheffield) is represented by Sheffield Self-Defence Jiu-jitsu on Sheffield Road. It carries a genuinely rare credential: the sole UK institution teaching the Valente Brothers' Fighting Foundations curriculum, which sits in the non-sport Helio Gracie / Valente Brothers lineage rather than mainstream sport BJJ. Head instructor Chris Charalambous is the only UK Valente Brothers-accredited Black Belt. The room is also listed as Gracie Humaita-affiliated, reinforcing the traditional / self-defence framing.

Programmes cover Fighting Foundations, Juniors and Women's Self-Defence — there's no sport-competition track here. Public GBP monthly pricing isn't currently exposed; this is a niche, curriculum-driven destination rather than a competition-circuit gym, and effectively serves greater Sheffield as well as Dronfield itself.
