About Black Tie Brazilian Jiu Jitsu

Black Tie Brazilian Jiu Jitsu is the Cape Coral, Florida headquarters (290 Nicholas Pkwy NW) of a school founded by Corey Brown, who moved from Virginia in 2016 and opened in February 2017 on puzzle mats inside a fitness facility before adding a Bonita Springs location in 2018 and affiliate schools in Florida, Georgia and Michigan. Brown is a 3rd-degree BJJ black belt with a lineage running Mitsuyo Maeda to Carlos and Helio Gracie, Rickson Gracie, Jorge Pereira, Leo Dalla and Chad Lebrun, and a deep competition record including ADCC USA National Pro champion, three-time IBJJF Pan American black belt champion and IBJJF World silver medallist. Beyond gi and no-gi BJJ for adults and kids, the Cape Coral gym runs a kids competition team, a ladies' programme with its own coaching staff and free ladies' beginner days, a daytime homeschool group, a youth wrestling programme and judo taught by Sensei Sergio Sanchez, a Cuban-trained 6th dan and Nevada Judo Hall of Fame inductee.
