BJJ in Plant City

Plant City carries two BJJ academies at opposite ends of the lineage spectrum. Carlson Gracie Plant City, affiliated with the Carlson Gracie family, is led by Samuel Kimmel and offers adult Gi BJJ, kids programs for ages 3–14, and an after-school program with pickup from multiple local elementary schools — a practical infrastructure choice that positions the school as a serious youth development option in the east Hillsborough corridor. Ares BJJ Plant City (operating as QW Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu) is led by Renshi Q. Wiggins, a 7th-degree black belt, and takes a broader martial arts approach, teaching BJJ alongside striking, Muay Lao, Karate, Combatives, and self-defense. Together the two schools give Plant City both a traditional Carlson Gracie franchise-style curriculum and an eclectic multi-discipline alternative.
