About WAMMA NextGen (Wrestling, Jiu Jitsu, Boxing, Kickboxing)

WAMMA NextGen is the kids and youth arm of the Winnipeg Academy of Mixed Martial Arts, established in 2021 and dedicated to developing young grapplers in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, American collegiate wrestling and freestyle wrestling, alongside boxing and kickboxing. Its athletes travel across Canada and the United States to compete, and its first graduate earned a university wrestling scholarship. WAMMA itself was founded in 2003 by Curtis Brigham and has produced four UFC fighters.
