ZIT Independente is a Brazilian jiu-jitsu team on Rua Primeiro de Maio in Teresina, PI, led by black belt Professor Danilo Ferreira. General classes run three times a week - Tuesday and Thursday evenings (90 minutes of fundamentals, drills and sparring, with Thursday on advanced technique and rolling) and Saturday morning as a 2.5-hour open mat - with a separate high-performance competition squad training Tuesday/Thursday at 18:00 and Saturday at 16:00. Classes are open to beginners and graded students alike and the first class is free.
