About Ground Zero Gym

Ground Zero Gym in Milton, Brisbane was founded in 2022 by Maverick Day and Gurkan Baydogan and teaches Muay Thai, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, no-gi submission grappling and MMA. Gurkan is an IBJJF-certified first degree BJJ black belt promoted by Isaac Indart under Tito Beltran of Crazy Team and heads the BJJ, no-gi and MMA programs; Maverick heads Muay Thai and founded the Top Gun Muay Thai affiliation. Specialty offerings include advanced leglock classes for coloured belts, invitation-only competition classes, women-only BJJ and no-gi classes, and the Kids Level Up game-based BJJ program.
