About Chess Club Jiu-Jitsu

Chess Club Jiu-Jitsu is a dedicated BJJ school at the Premier Centre in Warana, serving Kawana and the wider Sunshine Coast. It runs adult Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, a kids program for ages 4 and up, kickboxing, and recurring short courses including a BJJ beginners course, a women's intro to BJJ and self-defence course, a toddlers intro to jiu-jitsu and a Christmas Berimbolo camp. The academy also publishes a free online BJJ beginners course. Head coach Rafael Miyashiro has trained BJJ for 13 years and built the school around discipline, respect and resilience rather than competition results, with a strongly beginner-friendly culture and a code of conduct posted on the mats.
