Academia Saporito Jiu-Jitsu in Copacabana, Rio de Janeiro is run by Mestre Marcelo Saporito, a 6th degree black belt promoted by Mestre Carlson Gracie, and presents itself as the academy founded by Carlson Gracie himself. Saporito personally teaches jiu-jitsu, MMA and self-defense to children from age 6, teenagers and adults of both sexes, morning, afternoon and evening; classes open with a warm-up, move through new positions and finish with free rolling, deliberately mixing belt levels so knowledge passes down the ranks.
