Checkmat Campeche on Av. Pequeno Príncipe in Campeche, Florianópolis (SC) opened in December 2023, a few minutes from the beach, teaching jiu-jitsu and grappling for every level from beginner to advanced competitor. It is run by Professor Tiago Pagnocca, who started in Shotokan karate at five, took his karate black belt at 13, had his first jiu-jitsu class in 2010 with Mestre Yuri Fernandes, moved to Florianópolis in 2012 as a purple belt and was graded black belt in 2022 by Mestre Sebastian Lalli.
