BJJ in Bastrop

Bastrop's BJJ scene centers on Insight Brazilian Jiu Jitsu - Judo & Muay Thai - Bastrop, a Renzo Gracie affiliate that goes beyond pure BJJ — students can also train Judo and Muay Thai under the same roof. The gym runs a kids program and fields a competition team for students who want to test their training on the mats against outside schools.

Bastrop is a ~30-minute drive east of Austin, so having a serious local academy means you can commit to a real training schedule without fighting city traffic. Free week trials are typical — new students are encouraged to show up 10 minutes early on their first visit.
