The Ruleset
Like every IBJJF no-gi championship, the European No-Gi follows the no-gi rules: adult brown and black belts may use heel hooks and knee reaping; white through purple belts may not. Registration and Qualification
Registration opens months ahead on the IBJJF site, with tiered pricing that rises as the event approaches. Unlike the gi European Championship (which requires adult black belts to hold ranking points to enter), the European No-Gi has no published points barrier -- competitors of every belt can register, subject to standard membership and division rules. The mat schedule is typically released a few days before the event -- IBJJF listed a schedule release date of October 26 for the 2026 edition.
