Garra Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu's Brisbane headquarters on Bishop St in Kelvin Grove is the flagship of a four-academy Queensland group (Kelvin Grove, Darra, Lawnton and Nambour on the Sunshine Coast) led by 5th degree black belt Professor Eduardo Dias. The Kelvin Grove timetable runs seven days: adults gi and no-gi from early morning through midday and evening, Fundamentals for white belts, an Advanced class for experienced practitioners, Junior Kids for 5-8 year olds and Senior Kids for 9-14, a Ladies Only class twice a week, four open mats, a Sunday Drill & Roll session, and Eduardo Dias's own Jiu-Jitsu Mindset & Development class for 13-plus that uses positional constraints to break students out of automatic patterns. The academy also runs private classes and a dedicated competition training program.
